SERVICES
A comprehensive suite of professional services designed to support Indigenous communities and project partners across Northern Ontario.
SERVICE AREA
OSLP provides end-to-end support across six core service areas, each designed to advance Indigenous community participation and economic opportunity.
ENGAGMENT
We facilitate structured, meaningful engagement between Indigenous communities and project proponents. Our team supports consultation processes, community meetings, information sharing, and ensures Indigenous voices are heard and respected at every stage of a project. We assist in developing engagement frameworks and managing ongoing participation activities.
KNOWLEDGE & LAND
Documentation and analysis of Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Land Use is critical to protecting Indigenous rights and informing responsible project planning. OSLP works directly with knowledge holders and community members to conduct thorough TK/TLU studies that meet regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring Indigenous knowledge is respected and protected.
WORKFORCE
Our workforce development services address the full employment pathway — from pre-employment readiness through to skilled trade certification. Programs include Pre-Employment Training, Environmental Monitoring Training, Wilderness First Aid, Security Guard Training, AZ Driver Training, Line Crew Ground Support, Forest Firefighter Training, Remote Camp and Cook Services, Mechanical Harvesting, and Environmental Protection Training.
CULTURAL
These programs reconnect Indigenous community members with the land, cultural practices, and traditional ways of knowing and being. Land-based training fosters cultural continuity, mental wellness, and intergenerational knowledge transfer. Programs are developed in partnership with Elders and cultural knowledge holders to ensure authenticity and community relevance.
ADMINISTRATION
OSLP provides operational and administrative support to strengthen community governance structures and project delivery capacity. Services include coordination support, reporting, record management, and community liaison functions that help communities manage day-to-day engagement and project activities effectively.
MANAGEMENT
From planning through to completion, our project management services ensure that Indigenous community interests are represented, tracked, and upheld throughout infrastructure and development project lifecycles. We provide scheduling support, progress monitoring, stakeholder coordination, and reporting services that keep projects on track and aligned with community priorities.
